MONTBLANC 1858, GEOSPHERE 0 OXYGEN,MOUNT VINSON LIMITED EDITION

The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen Mount Vinson Limited Edition is inspired by the adventure and exploration territories. A tribute to Messner’s list called « the Seven Summits » – the highest mountain peak on each of the continents –, the first Edition is dedicated to Mount Vinson reached by Messner in 1986.

During the texturing phase, we encountered two main challenges : to develop the texture of the case and accurately recreate the image of Mount Vinson engraved on the case back.
Indeed, the case, made from a new composite material containing CO₂, has a very unique color and a design directly inspired by the ice of the Vinson Glacier – composed of quartz fibers, aluminum basalt fibers, CaCO₃, and resin.

To highlight the watch and introduce its iconic look, we imagined a setting directly inspired by the composite material of its case.
Using textured rocks, we revealed the watch through a choreographed sequence between the timepiece and the stones.

After few seconds with a light background, the environment darkens to reveal the luminous outline of Mount Vinson etched into the right side of the case – visible only to the wearer – along with all the luminescent elements on the dial.

MONTBLANC 1858, ICED SEA AUTOMATIC DATE 0 OXYGEN

The Montblanc Iced Sea Automatic Date 0 Oxygen features are inspired from the glacial beauty of the Mont-Blanc Massif’s Mer de Glace. The film takes viewers on a journey through this majestic environment.

The creation of the Glacier-Pattern-Dial in CG was the main challenge we faced. Handcrafted with the « gratté-boisé » technic, the texture imitates cracked ice crystals frozen with its intricate network of interlocking crystals.

In line with the brand’s storytelling and to remind the harsh conditions encountered on the Mont Blanc’s valley glacier we decided to setup the watches on iced surface.
In order to introduce glacial white dial, after showing the light blue one, the surface color evolves from iced blue to almost white to match the dial color.

An animation explains the interchangeability of the bracelet, from steel to white rubber.

And the film end with general views of the white dial model.
