A new chapter of our collaboration with Baume & Mercier: we created a film to unveil the new Riviera watch collection at Watches and Wonders 2024.
This movie is a celebration of of the French Riviera spirit, with each product showcasing a different facet of Riviera lifestyle.
Set in an iconic Côte d’Azur villa, the narrative invites viewers on an intimate journey through the home’s architecture and the region’s breathtaking landscapes.
We conceived and designed the architecture of the villa, then created all the elements in CGI : the building itself, its idyllic outdoor spaces, and the swimming pool.
At the beginning of the film, the only sounds are those of nature, cicadas – of course – and the surrounding landscape, immersing the viewer in a contemplative journey, and slide to a simple an discreet music as the evening comes.
As we explore the villa and its multiple terraces, each setting is thoughtfully designed to represent a different moment of the day – the sun-drenched mornings, the hot midday and the quiet evening. The orientations of the spaces and the framing are carefully chosen to match each of these moments of life and habits on the French Riviera.
Each area is also dedicated to a specific fundamental element, linked to each watch : water (sea), earth (mountains) and air (sky).
The swimming pool visually brings the sea into the villa, segmented terraces offer different spaces, simple walls that cast shadows, provide protection from the sun and frame the surrounding landscape.
Nature, rock, and architecture are subtly interwoven, with the light ochre of the walls contrasting with the rust-colored rock of the Estérel. The modern furniture invites a brief, attentive pause before entering the villa.
The large table, comfortable seating, and warm lighting complement the pink sky as the sun sets on the horizon. The openness to nature invites a moment of sharing and conviviality.
